Notes:
Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by a bacterium called Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Tuberculosis usually causes a chronic lung infection but it can also cause infection in other organs of the body.
Tuberculosis is spread when a patient with the disease in the lung coughs, sneezes, or otherwise expels the organism into the air. The TB bacteria is suspended in droplet nuclei that float in the air and can be inhaled by another person.
