The news on transmission remains the same. It is transmitted by sexual contact, from mother to infant, and from contact with infected blood.
It is estimated that 1 in 500,000 units of blood may contain HIV.
HIV is NOT transmitted by casual contact, hugging, toilet seats, telephones, computer keyboards, etc.
