Every person is responsible for assuring their own compliance with infection control policies.
Remember that teaching the patient and family the important steps to prevent infection is also an important part of your duties.
Finally, the job is not done until every sign and symptom of infection is documented in the patient’s medical record. Remember also to document all patient/family education activities.
